This engagement setting is an opportunity for fisherfolk to raise concerns and receive vital information about fisheries license renewal, marine product open and close seasons, and updates regarding the management of the protected area, among other topics of discussion. The Education Team recognizes the importance of stakeholder feedback and participation as this helps in building trust between SEA and fisherfolk from our stakeholder communities. Indicators of trust include improved attendance at such sessions, increased participation in other SEA-related activities, and the number of tips received from fisherfolk that feed into enforcement activities for Protected Areas Management.
